Customizing the Integration

This article explains how to manage which tools appear on the Home view of the Action Center and how to customize the fields shown in the User Profile.

To access these settings, click the gear icon in the top-right corner of the Action Center and select Action Center Settings. You’ll be taken to the Action Center Settings page, where you can configure the options described below.

Action Center Widgets

By default, the plugin displays all active widgets and tools from your VoterVoice system. You can customize which items appear by adjusting the visibility controls on this page.

For example, if you prefer that supporters not look up their elected officials directly, such as to prevent them from sending messages without your guidance, toggle Find Officials from Visible to Hidden.

You can change the display order of widgets and tools by clicking the up or down arrows to the left of each item.

You can also rename any tool by editing the text in its title field.

When you’re finished making changes, click the Publish Global Settings button in the top-right corner to apply your updates.

Adjust the Advocate Profile Fields

When supporters visit your Action Center to participate in an advocacy campaign, sign a petition, complete a survey, register for an event, or join your mailing list, they will see a form where they can enter their information.

By default, VoterVoice collects only the minimum information required for each tool. You can use these controls to adjust which fields are displayed. Note that there are separate tabs for each location where a user can view their profile, allowing you to customize fields on a tool-by-tool basis.

To show business address fields, toggle Business Address so it turns blue and displays Visible.

To rename a section in the profile, for example, changing Business Information to Affiliate Information, enter the new title in the Section Title field.

When you’ve finished making changes, click the Publish Global Settings button in the top-right corner to apply your updates.
