Please note that the information below is not strictly necessary. When Support creates a new system in VoterVoice, we always also create a wrapper / hosted page on our end that can serve as the public portal through which your supporters can utilize the VoterVoice software. Most clients prefer to use the plugin option instead because it imports the VoterVoice content into their page and thus allows them more control over the look and feel while keeping the supporters on their domain. |
In the setup email you receive from us, we will provide you with two versions of a line of javascript we call the “plugin code” that is specific to your organization. Either plugin code will load the VoterVoice content into your page, but you can only include one one a page.
Please note that over 90% of people who come to your Action Center page will do so through a link to a specific action (like an advocacy campaign) that you want them to take. They will only see that one action. The default displays of the plugin codes described below refer only to those users who come to the Action Center natively through your site.
When you make your decision from the options below, you can then install the plugin code.
Default
The first version will show our /Home page, which displays your active campaigns, lets your members look-up their officials, and more depending on your package. Essentially, this shows everything that is active in your system.
Campaigns
The second version will show only the listing of active campaigns. This option is preferable if you want to keep your supporters focused on advocacy.
Other
Plugin codes can also be modified to default to showing the other tools as well. If this is something you're interested in, please visit the Action Center Settings page where you can download the plugin code for any particular tool.
