Packages
When you purchase our new Top Locals package, you will have the option to run grassroots advocacy campaigns to any Mayor, City Council, County Executive, or County Commission in a geographic area with a population above 250,000.
You have the option to purchase this at the national level (all local data for populations over 250,000 in the entire country) or at the state level (all local data for populations over 250,000 in a single state).
*Note that we do NOT offer data for local school board members and superintendents at this level.
Please reach out to your Account Manager or vvsupport@fiscalnote.com if you are interested in adding the Top Locals to your VoterVoice package.
Campaign Targeting
With this new product enabled, you will see an new option on the Targets page of the campaign editor.
This will allow you a new ability you have never had before: the ability to target all legislators and / or executives for all major cities / counties, just as you have been able do for legislators and executives at the state level.
Alternatively, you can also opt to target only officials from specific local governments, just as you have also been able to target officials from specific state governments.
To Target All Local Officials
Select the appropriate offices from the "select local targets" dropdown shown to the left.
In this example, you would be enabling your supporters in every major population center in the nation to reach out to their local officials about the issue at hand.
To Target Particular Local Officials
Select one of the “select individual locals” options shown to the right for the individual Mayor, City Council, County Executive, or County Commission you will need. You can select more than one; but we do not recommend selecting tens or hundreds of these options as the "select local targets" dropdown is more appropriate for large numbers.
In this example, you would be enabling your supporters in only these three places to reach out to their local officials about the issue at hand.
