Downloading Contact Data

VoterVoice makes it easy to pull a spreadsheet with your contacts’ information. How exactly you do this depends on how much information you want:

Pulling Your Entire Database

Mouse over the People menu and select the first option, Contacts.

From this page, you can search for individual contacts via the Name or Email field, see the date of your last programmatic update, the number of records in your database, and the Download option.

To download a spreadsheet with your contact records’ information, simply click the Download link located to the far right of the database’s name. You will see a pop-up that allows you to choose whether you want just the standard fields (those that exist for every VoterVoice client - first name, last name, email, street address, etc…) or also add custom fields (those unique to your association), legislative districts (the chamber and district number), and the elected officials (by name). Make your selection and hit the “generate report” button. An email will be delivered to your inbox with a link to download the .csv file.

Pulling a Subset of Your Database

On the People's menu page, click the Search Contacts tab.

Either click on a previously saved search or click on the “+New Search” button. This will allow you to search for a subset of your list based on one or more fields in your database. More information on performing searches can be found here. Once you have your search terms set, you can click the “Download” button.
