You can paste pre-written content into any VoterVoice form, but there is (with any program) always a potential for that to cause problems. Different applications often use different formating code. Microsoft Word, for instance, uses a formatting code that much of the internet does not read correctly. Usually, pasting content from Word or another website does not actually cause any problems. In the uncommon occurrence that you do see an issue, it will generally take one of the following forms:
If you write the content in VoterVoice, these problems should never occur.
Inconsistent Styling
This could manifest in a variety of ways: spacing that is different from paragraph to paragraph, encoded characters (like %2f instead of an apostrophe), fonts or colors that are not what you selected, or even tables inserted where you don’t want them.
The problem is that the formatting code in the content you pasted into the VoterVoice system is either not being rendered correctly or is over-writing what you set manually.
The solution is to clear the text area on the VoterVoice admin site and repaste the content as plain text. You can do this by using your computer’s hotkeys (Shift+Option+Command+V for Mac or Control+Shift+V for PC).
Broken Images
The problem is either that you pasted an image into the text editor rather than uploading it to the server or that someone deleted it from the server.
The solution in either case is to upload the image to your server on VoterVoice via the image icon in the text editor's toolbar.
