Where does VoterVoice get its data?
Bill and vote data is pulled into VoterVoice programmatically from its parent company, FiscalNote. FiscalNote pulls the data directly from congress.gov and the various state sites.
When do bills first appear in VoterVoice?
Bills (including pre-filed bills) are posted to the VoterVoice system at the beginning of the legislative session and after they are published on the official federal / state site.
How often is the data updated?
State data is updated daily, and federal data is updated three times daily. Once the information is published on the official site, it is usually present in VoterVoice within a day.
Why doesn't VoterVoice have a particular vote?
Some states post vote details in non-vettable pdfs. It is unfortunately not possible to pull that information programmatically. If you want to score a vote VoterVoice does not have, you can do so pretty easily via a custom action.
