The 13 Months of Advocacy Program are research-backed activities that we will be recommending to our clients every month.
Task of the Month:
In order to help our clients implement a year-round advocacy program, we talked with our clients, advocacy experts, and internal staff, and came up with a recommended "Task of the Month" for every month of 2020 for both State and Federal advocacy professionals.
The (4) Themes:
Every Task will have a theme, which is the specific TYPE of Task that is being recommended. The four themes are Advocate, Educate, Connect, and Measure.

What 13 Months of Advocacy Includes:
Every month, at the beginning of the month, we will be sending an email to our clients with 1-Pager showcasing the Task of the Month.
There will be a webinar training that goes over the Task of the Month in more detail. The webinar will focus on best practices and walk through how to actually implement the Task of the Month!
A worksheet will accompany the 1-Pager + Webinar to make it easy for your organization to plan and implement the Task of the Month.

What is the "13th Month?"
The 13th Month is similar to a “Floating Month.” Because policy can impact you at any time, the 13th month is when you have to act quickly on policy that could be impactful to your organization.
What if the task does not apply to my organization?
If you have other needs that don’t align with the Task of the Month, that is completely fine! The Task of The Month is simply a guide to help you.
