The Capwiz product was the first online grassroots advocacy tool. Since the launch of Capwiz 23 years ago, the advocacy technology marketplace has boomed with new players but the goal remains the same: enable citizens to easily connect with their lawmakers to make their voices heard
Capwiz was the start of that journey, but now Capwiz’s part of the journey will come to an end. Effective November 15th 2019, we will officially sunset the Capwiz XC product.
Although Capwiz’s journey is ending, we sincerely believe that your experience as an advocacy professional will get better, as you will now have access to VoterVoice, our best-in-class advocacy solution!
Q: What does this mean?
The Capwiz product will no longer be accessible by Nov. 15th, 2019. We’ve created a new VoterVoice system just for your organization. Your previous action center hosted by Capwiz will redirect to your new VoterVoice action center beginning on Nov. 15th.
We have ported over your contacts from your Capwiz system, including your custom fields as well as well as the number of messages your advocates sent in the previous system.
We have additionally created a new action center for your association. You have the option to keep this page or use our easy to use plugin to install the VoterVoice action center on your website (example).
Q:Why are we doing this?
Especially before we move into the busy season of legislative sessions, we want to ensure you have the best tools available to engage your advocates to make an impact. In order to provide you with best in class advocacy tools, we are upgrading your account to a new VoterVoice system. We want to ensure our focus resides in providing the best tools for your organization.
Q:How am I affected?
As of Nov. 15th 2019, you will no longer have access to your Capwiz account. However, we have a complementary VoterVoice account available for you, which you have access to through the remainder of your contract. Please reach out to VVSupport@fiscalnote.com to get the direct link to your new action center.
Q:What is VoterVoice and how does it compare to Capwiz?
VoterVoice strengthens organizations by connecting citizens to their elected representatives. VoterVoice provides a suite of online grassroots advocacy tools aimed at government relations and grassroots professionals. Clients can quickly launch campaigns to drive supporters to take action. The system matches advocates to their proper elected officials based on their address, and ensures the delivery of those messages. VoterVoice also provides a suite of tools for year-round success: online surveys, grassroots petitions, event management, fly-in tools, legislative vote scorecards, and more.
Q: What happens when I move over to the new product? What do I need to do next?
We will contact you with your VoterVoice login information and a link to your action center, but please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or do not receive that communication.

Q: What happens if I do not want to move over to the new product? Will you refund me?
We will not be providing refunds for Capwiz clients, as you will have access to VoterVoice through the end of your contract.
Q: Who should I contact if I need help or have questions?
Q: Do I have to pay more to access VoterVoice?
Although VoterVoice is a more comprehensive and upgraded platform, there’s no additional cost for you to access VoterVoice!
Q: Will my contacts move over?
Yes, we have already migrated over all of your subscribed contacts to your new VoterVoice system! We have imported your custom fields as well as a field we created for the ‘count’ of messages your Capwiz contacts have sent.
Q: So, what data will move over?
We have already migrated over your supporter/contact list. We imported every subscribed contact and included custom fields you created in your Capwiz system. Additionally, we have included a ‘Messages Count’ field in VoterVoice that shows how many messages your advocates sent in the previous Capwiz system.
We used your logo to create an action center site just for you. You have the option to keep this page or use our easy to use plugin to install the VoterVoice action center on your existing website (example). Information on how to set up this plugin is included in the setup email you received (contact email@example.com if you cannot find this email).
Q: Will I be on my own to learn this? Or will you be providing help for me?

Q: What if I have ongoing campaigns running in Capwiz right now?
We have created copies of your active campaigns in your new VoterVoice system. Please feel free to keep or modify those campaigns as you see fit!
Q: What if I’m using Engage and do not want to move to VoterVoice?
That’s absolutely okay. If you’re using Engage there is no requirement that you move to VoterVoice.
